Which Hilux Kit Do I Need?
Go by the front of the vehicle, not the plate — Toyota changed the Hilux over during 2015. A wide chrome grille bar with separate upright headlights is the N70; a deep one-piece grille with swept-back headlights is the N80.

Installing on an N80
The AutoChimp™ Reverse Camera Kit adds a reverse camera to your factory screen with no cutting, no splicing and no dealer coding. The included AC-TOY-24PIN interface harness installs inline behind the factory stereo and carries the camera video straight through to the OEM display.
Every one of the 24 factory pins passes through the harness — CAN, speed, illumination, data and audio all stay intact — so nothing else in the vehicle changes. Steering wheel controls, Bluetooth and the display itself behave exactly as they did before.
The N80 already carries its reverse trigger on the factory 24-pin plug, so there is no separate trigger harness to buy and no signal to tap. The camera comes on when you select reverse and goes off when you leave it.

How It Works
- Mount the camera on the tray, tub, bar or bracket of your choice.
- Route the 7m power and video cable from the rear of the vehicle forward to the stereo.
- Remove the factory head unit and insert the AC-TOY-24PIN harness inline with the factory 24-pin plug.
- Plug the camera into the labelled CAM INPUT 4-pin connector.
- Set image flip or guidelines if required using the camera's loop wires.
