AutoChimp™ Quad Camera Kit for Isuzu D-MAX & MU-X (2012–2024) | Factory Screen Camera Expansion

SKU: AC-QUAD-DMAX-2012

Keep the original screen in your Isuzu D-MAX & MU-X and add up to three selectable camera views alongside the reverse camera already working on it. The QuadCam platform switches one camera picture at a time through the factory reverse-camera input. Cameras are sold separately.

Which Kit Do I Need?

Quad Camera Kit Retain the working rear camera and provide up to three additional selectable camera inputs.
Dual Camera Kit Retain the rear camera and add one selectable input.
Front Camera Kit Choose a complete front-camera kit when you also need the camera and mounting parts.

Compatibility

For supported Isuzu D-MAX & MU-X vehicles in the 2012–2024 range with the supported factory touchscreen and conventional reverse-camera system. Match the actual factory display and camera connections before ordering; the year label alone does not confirm fitment.

  • A reverse camera must already show correctly on the factory screen.
  • For conventional reverse-camera systems; factory panoramic, bird’s-eye, Multi-Terrain Monitor and 360° camera systems are outside this standard kit’s scope.
  • An aftermarket or converted stereo needs its own interface assessment.

How It Works

The vehicle connection routes the factory reverse-camera video through the QuadCam module and returns the selected video to the original screen. Compatible momentary controls select the retained reverse view or an added front, trailer, side or underbody camera. The normal reverse-camera function is retained.

Key Features

  • Up to four selectable camera feeds in total, including the retained reverse camera.
  • Keeps the supported original display.
  • One camera image displayed at a time; this is not a stitched 360° view or simultaneous four-camera recording system.
  • Four included 2-pin JST leads for compatible camera-power connections.
  • Vehicle-specific connection approach based on the supported factory camera system.

Core System Components

  • 1× AutoChimp™ QuadCam switching module (AC-QUAD-CAM)
  • 4× 2-pin JST camera-power leads (AC-JST-2PIN-M)
  • 1× AC-QUAD-HRN-ISU-2012 vehicle connection component
  • 1× RCA breakout adapter (AC-QUAD-BRKOUT-RCA)

No cameras are included. Select cameras, video adapters and mounting parts to suit the intended installation.

Video and Camera Power

QuadCam passes CVBS and AHD video unchanged; it does not convert between them. Each camera must provide a format supported by the factory screen and its approved interface.

The retained reverse camera keeps its original correctly rated supply. Added-camera outputs provide 12V, up to 2A on the selected channel, with one output active at a time. Do not connect a 6V-only factory camera to a 12V added-camera output. AutoChimp Pro Series and Heavy Duty cameras require their appropriate RCA video/power adapters.

Installation Overview

  • Identify the factory screen and camera connection before fitting.
  • Fit the approved vehicle connection and QuadCam module.
  • Connect the retained-camera video path, then each added camera to its assigned input.
  • Connect the matched controls and test reverse operation plus each selected view before refitting trim.
