Quad camera integration for the Toyota HiLux N70

Add up to three selectable camera views to the supported Toyota HiLux N70 factory touchscreen while retaining the reverse camera already working on the screen. Cameras are sold separately.

Compatibility

For Australian-delivered HiLux N70 models, 2014–2015, with the matching factory touchscreen, 24-pin camera input and a working conventional reverse camera. Match the screen and rear connectors before ordering. This is not the 2016-on N80 kit and does not suit aftermarket stereos or factory panoramic / 360° camera systems.

How It Works

The vehicle harness connects inline behind the stereo. QuadCam switches the factory camera input between the existing reverse camera on CAM 1 and the additional cameras on CAM 2, CAM 3 and CAM 4. One camera image displays at a time. Selecting reverse retains the original reverse-camera view.

• 4× green 37 mm dual-button switches: horizontal and vertical versions of CAM 1 / CAM 2 and CAM 3 / CAM 4
• 4× AC-JST-2PIN-M camera-power leads

Choose the switch orientation that suits each mounting position. The CAM 1 / CAM 2 and CAM 3 / CAM 4 dual switches connect directly to the matching harness switch plugs. Cameras and camera mounts are not included.

Camera Connections

Additional cameras connect through RCA video and the adjacent 2-pin camera-power connection. AutoChimp Pro Series cameras use AC-PRO-CAM-RCA-YELLOW; Heavy Duty cameras use AC-HEAVY-CAM-RCA. Use CVBS / NTSC video for the supported HiLux factory screen. QuadCam passes the video signal through unchanged and does not convert AHD to CVBS.

Installation

Match the stereo connectors, connect the vehicle harness and 24-pin camera harness inline, connect the breakout and module, then fit the appropriate switches and additional cameras. Test the existing reverse camera and each selected view before refitting the trim. Use the installation steps on this page.
