The AutoChimp™ Reverse Camera Retention Kit for Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series allows you to retain the factory (OEM) reverse camera when upgrading to an aftermarket stereo on facelift models from 2024 to 2026.

When the factory stereo is removed, the original reverse camera loses its power source and stops working. This updated, fully plug-and-play retention kit restores both power and video to the factory camera and outputs a standard yellow RCA video signal for connection to your new aftermarket head unit.

This kit also works seamlessly with AutoChimp™ 70 Series reverse camera kits, including AC-TOY-RC8 and AC-TOY-RC9.

How It Works (Simple Explanation)

• The harness installs inline behind the stereo, between the factory vehicle plug and the new stereo patch harness

• Power is restored to the factory or AutoChimp™ reverse camera automatically

• The camera video signal is converted to a standard yellow RCA output

• The yellow RCA plugs directly into the reverse camera input on your aftermarket stereo

• The reverse trigger signal is handled via the factory wiring, with a green trigger wire available if required

Once installed, the reverse camera works just like factory when reverse is selected.

Wiring Overview

• Yellow RCA: Video signal to aftermarket stereo (reverse camera input)

• Red Wire: Accessory power

• Yellow Wire: Constant power

• Black Wire: Ground / earth

• Green Wire: Reverse trigger output (usually not required, provided for compatibility)

In most installations, the factory reverse signal is already present, and the green wire can be left unused and secured.
